No, i already received my SA letter on 4th of april but after that no progress, file was transferred to Ottawa. Haven't received any IME/PCC yet. Should i do advance IME/PCC and upload it even though they haven't requested me yet or contact them?

you have to wait IME but can upload PCC and move them

On the online tracker tool, I have the following message:

"We sent ............. correspondence on June 1, 2018. If .............. has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have ................. do so as soon as possible. Please wait until ............... receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

My father and I (representative) have not received any email or letter yet. Any idea what this might be? PCC maybe? Appreciate your help.

Most probably finger print request which comes in snail mail. check your mail box in day or two.

yea, took us about two weeks to book the appointment and another 10 days for the doctor to upload the form..

it's not necessary. One person submitted PCC with the application package in 2017, after ME passed, they got the passport request letter right away. CIC probably assumed that with 80 year old age, the crime chance would be rare. Some countries need in person to get the PCC, so it's better to get them before the parents come to Canada to save a trip.

@Cocoa So you are suggesting me to do advance PCC and upload it? FYI, i haven't received my IME or PCC yet. I was in first round 2017, received SA on 4th of April but after that there is no update. I am little bit worried why my file is not moving.

Hi All, Question about how to submit PCC to CIC

1. PCC request email says-- reply directly to this email.
2. There is also CIC Online linked application where one can upload PCC (what to mention for Document Name/Number?)

Which is the best/recommended way among the above 2 ways?

Update: I ended up doing both the above. Emailed the PCC docs by replying to the PCC request email. Then I also logged into CIC Online Linked Application and uploaded the PCC docs and submitted there as well.

Yikes.. hopefully it is ok.... fingers crossed.

Sharing my experience;
Yesterday i logged into the passport India office filled the form for PCC and booked the appointment; to my luck there was a slot available today and my parents went over for the appointment and received the PCC right away; seems the process is straightforward and turnaround time depends upon the appointment availability!

will surely recommend this approach of fetching the PCC from INDIA

I was worried about Appointment availability , so My parents have followed the approach to collect it from Local Police Station, it was told that PCC will be available in 10 days but who can believe on Indian system. For backup I will try this Passport Office method and see if any early appointment is available , thanks for sharing your experience.

I think you probably missed something. Ottawa is moving fast. You need to check your account more often. Or you can call them to ask what's going on.

what email address did you used?And what document number you used while uploading the PCC through CIC account?
