Giving an analogy from cricket, when you don't have almost any hope chasing a big total, you play freely; but if you're close to your target, you become nervous and panic with even 2 dot balls

That is very interesting! Perhaps it's because these people already imagined that they had it today. They spent all week thinking the Wednesday the 6th was the day they'd receive their long-awaited ITA. And then it doesn't happen. Something you were sure you had disappeared. How disappointing. The people further down were never sure, so they don't really have a hope to be crushed in the same sense.

@abhishek_89 what do you think man? If i can improve 0.5 in writing I would have the score of (443-5) in august!! WIll CRS ever reach 438? I doubt it now!
That's too long a timeline to predict and now CIC has altered the frequency too (if they don't have a draw today). With CRS 440 you could still make it by July if not today.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "altered the frequency"? Isn't it quite normal that CIC sometimes have three week gaps between draws? They had one in March and one in January. Or is it something else that you are referring to?
Well, the smart Dicks at 430 got more competition now. It was never about 413 or 423, it was about quota and getting the best 75k or 85k or 95k a year. If all 90k a year are met at CRS 465 then someone like me at 435 is not a smart Dick.
