I called IRCC on March 5th and the automated message said they processing Application received on or before November 21, 2016. I called them today and I heard the same message! A month and no progress? It has been 17 months since I sponsored my wife. I hope they clear this bottleneck soon!

It has been a little over 19 months since CIC received my application. What's your status now?

no really ???!! when they say working on nov 2016 for the beginning of the files ?

we are waiting for their answers concerning the police background and we paid the last fee of rp card

Applied in December 2016, Medicals Requested in November. Completed Medicals the same month. No update since then.

Yes, they told me the same thing. I got my MP to call IRCC, they said its still under the 26 month processing time. I guess we are the unluck ones.

so you mean if you applied before end of 2016 its still 26 months ?

Applied in December 2016, Medicals Requested in November. Completed Medicals the same month. No update since then.

I applied in August 2016, medical requested in June 2017, sponsor DM letter received in January 2018. Then no updates for sponsored side.

so it means when you applied in 2016 you still have to wait more or less 26 months

It wasn’t supposed to be like that !
We applied the end of November 2016 and no news since December 2017. They are most certainly backlogged and for a month now the automated phone line stated that they are still working on cases from Nov. 21. Seeing our MP today.
Just the thought of waiting 26 mos?! Ughhhh

It's not 26 months. The official line, when every one applied was 26 months processing time. So, you cannot call to complain. But, realistically, they are still processing as fast as they can. It's Security checks that seems to be the delay recently (even for the last year it was this way).

I blame the Trumpugees.

yes I think so too security checks take time,,,, we are into it we will tell you what they said, the lawyer sent an email to put pressure
