I am working on the new checklist as my application I sent back in Jan 31 is being returned; It says to include police certificates in the application package...can someone confirm? (on page 7 of the new checklist)

I just compared the one you linked with the one I sent in a month ago and indeed there is a difference.
Mine says, "You do not have to submit police certificates now. After your application is received, you will be requested to a) submit a validated Schedule A: Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form for yourself (and any family members 18 or over), and b) provide police certificates."
Yours says, "You (the principal applicant), and any family members 18 years of age or older (who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents), must submit police certificates from the following country or countries at this time, unless indicated otherwise on the police certificate webpage."
Check that link and see if your country is on the list of countries that need to send them right away.

I figured it out after reading on it for an hour, my wife (principal applicant) does not have to submit police certificates because she has spent 5 years in Canada since age of 18, and only 4 years in India since she was 18.

You will be able to link your OWP app after 1 week the day you receive your AOR. So probably you will be able to link your OWP app by mid of next week and then wait approximately for 2 months for OWP approval. Best of luck

I got my AOR 6 march and linked my PR file on 7 March but unable to link my OWP app to CIC account.
Can u tell me how much time it will take or we can link OWP on same day like PR file.
I didnt know that we could link our OWP application at the time, so I did link it a week later. just follow the instructions our friend told me to do so and you should be able to link it
This is great - I was getting nervous, sent in common-law sponsorship received via purolator on Feb 16 and no word on AOR. I was worried that maybe something went wrong with how we filled in forms (those new forms through us off a bit) but this gives me hope!
My partners work-permit expires April 26 - no option to extend (I think) as it is an IEC 2-year work permit. We sent in OWP application at the same time as PR application - but in all likelihood it will not be processed on time.
Will he be on implied status or will he have to stop working and apply for a visitor visa?
