My application is from July 2015, interview done last year + medical.
Medical expired in October and I received email for another medical in December. I just did my medical for 3rd time.
Does anyone know if security check is done and what’s next?
Is anyone from the same year and got an update?

Yes i m 2015 as well and no updates just awaiting for security to be over. Our 3rd medical expired on june 2017 so when i did an inquiry for cic they advised us not to do medical yet after they receive the results of the security check/background check they will contact us for medical and most likely the passport for issuance of the Visa Inshallah. But if ur saying they asked you to do a medical then it means most likely your security is done and just wait for After new years you will hear good news Inshallah.

I m dec 2015 and security started aug 2016 and is still on going. Its going to be 17 months this January for the security to still be in process..

Why isnt ur mp doing anything ? Have they contacted immigration minister ...why dont u book an apt with ur mp ...the workers r usless

Yeah i have many times but they say when it comes to security we can not do anything. You will just have to wait. Then she gives me examples of others and how it took 4 years or even 6 years.. no1 is helping here

I am sponsoring my husband from Afghanistan since January 2017. Alhumdulliah everything went good until the background check. I've been on this back ground check since March 2017. I've contacted them. I have gotten the MP and my Lawyer to contact them and not received any news. I don' understand what' happening. They even made it a shorter waiting period for spousal sponsorship but does not seem like that is happening. Eligibility has been passed, medical has been passed (although it is expired now), he is not needed for an interview. I don't understand why it' talking so long. Is anyone else facing the same problem and gave a file from January of this year ?

Hi, you said you applied in January 2017 correct? Do you mind if I ask what stage your application is at now?
I'm guessing that your 12 months must be complete by now, and hopefully you have good news to share with us!

If you haven't received it email them that you haven't received it yet then the next day you will get it. It happened the same with me I got mine the next day I emailed them.
