I called cic last week , they told they are doing my BG and call them back only after March , if I didn’t Heard anything back till March

Oh I asked my agency last week. MD is before BG. After BG, u ll get PPR only So I think u already passed MD

I asked agent about if it is a security check , but she said there are various steps in BG , and she doesn’t have more info about it

October 2016 applicant, did my medicals this month ,MR DEC 2017 , MEDS DONE DEC 2017. Work permit expires end of March 2018, is it advisable to apply for extension or will I hopefully get my PPR before that? Any suggestions Thanks in advance

I would say application is necessary. If your current permit expired, with the submitted application you are under implied status, which means you can continue working like your expired work permit not expired, until you got ppr or application got approved/declined.

don't worry. The agent does not have enough privilege to view the details, and if you are chosen, only a GCMS reflects it.
