From the thread, it seems that IRCC's progress is October applications. A few November applications, and not December applications (like me).

I think you can expect MR in January - but it is holiday season, so maybe later. Just calm down and regularly check your account for messages.

October 2016 applicant, did my medicals this month ,MR DEC 2017 , MEDS DONE DEC 2017. Work permit expires end of March 2018, is it advisable to apply for extension or will I hopefully get my PPR before that? Any suggestions Thanks in advance

Well its no doubt that IRCC will won't be issuing PPR for Jul to Dec 2016 applicants till mid or late 2018. You can wait until February 2018 to see but do prepare all the documents ahead.

u r luck tho. I m oct applicant and still waiting for my MD. My owp will be expired in April 18th. So no idea if need extenataion. It’s need 50 days to renew it

Yeah just wait until feb i am 100% positive that you will get your ppr by then.
