Still no word from them??
How do you know u did not receive aip? I didnt receive aip but i did call cic for an update and they told me i met the eligibilty requirement which is aip but no physical email or letter came for me.
By then my file was already transferred to Etobicoke local office for further assessment.
If you want to know whats going on call cic and ask about aip. I know of quite a few people who never got aip letter and they were still landed

I emailed the office today for further updates. The officer replied and told me that my file will be looked at from 12 months from the day the recieved it. And that they recieved it on November 1,2017. I’m confused

Hmmm really. That doesn't make sense....im not sure whats going on. Maybe they meant 12 months from the date cic originally received it in Mississauga (

When a file is sent to a local office it usually means there are concerns about the relationship or the admissibility of the applicant. At that point your application is not longer in the normal processing timeline and can take 2 or more years to get finalized. I would suggest that you apply for your GCMS notes and take a look at the reasons your file was transferred and try to counter act their concerns early on. Good luck.

Honestly I don’t know the reason and I don’t think ordering GCMS will help because, I have been married to my wife since June 2015 and we have a baby together, my son is will be 2 years next March and also I added more proof to it including my sons birth certificate to the application and honestly I don’t know what they want again.

If you order the notes, there will likely be remarks in there about WHY they are sending the application to the local office. Or you can just sit and wait for them to call you for an interview or something in 12-14 months and be surprised by what they want. It's your application, your choice.
