There is no link as such, there are so many circumstantial evidences, as below.
1. Canadain Govt is trying to get 1 Million people in next 3 years. - They hired many for the job (no to mention, just to expedite cases)
2. When I called IRB (Immigration Refugee Board), I was told that hearing dates are being called little early than the usual time, as they hired many people for same.
3. This is liberal government in Canada, they are always pro-immigration.

With all above mentioned points, it's obvious.

Update form august 22 .
October 18 passport request.
Nov 15 passport with visa and CORP

I am just trying to figure out approximately when I will get a DM as a status and you are the most similar time of ADR to mine.
Could you please tell me when you got the request for updated forms and when did you actually send them in.
And also when did the status change to DM. So sorry to bother, its been a month since we submitted updated forms and nothing yet. I was really hoping before Christmas but it looks they are taking their time again!

Make sure you have answers to all the questions in the blue book where the interview notes are. That’s all they touched on...lots of why this and why that? It’s very informal and they allow you to ask questions as well

First up, you are welcone to the forum.

First thing, gather more evidences and make 3 copies of all docs, hand this over to IAD and CBSA not later than 20 days prior to your hearing date.
Address all the concerns mentioned in the blue file, or concerned raised at ADR, and visa refusal.
There are more than 100 questions, which you need to prepare the answer for, remembering dates, the major thing.
You and your spouse, have to be on exact same page, when replying to their questoins.

Yes, landing fee is refundable. Please read the letter , page 2, where they ask you to sign for refund, and send it to Case Processing Centre, PO Box 6100, Mississauga, ON L5A 4H4.

It's on refusal letter, what the concern embassy sent you.
But, if your appeal is allowed, and visa issued, or to be issued, than fee would not be refunded, as it will be used as landing fee.

All update form must submit with In 30days dated on email same as passport so all together until you get finalized your documents is 4month after hearing.. it just it's depend where you send all your documents Hong Kong are really fast for me i send my original pass Nov 7 next day received by visa center my visa stamps 13 then I received on 14 Nov .
