I'm upset.. they are asking for his passport and police report... it clearly states on the CIC website that when you are from Libya, you are not required to provide police report, because its not possible to get it.. and that they already know that the CIC has his passport from the refugee claim.. why is everything getting so mixed up

You cannot just ignore the request, so you might have to send again a letter, but you should not have to wait for no reason. I think your MP could clear this up with a phone call.

I also did the webform, but I didn't upload anything I wrote everything in the space provided for the comment, should I have written it signed it and scanned it then upload?

Yes, needs to be signed and dated.

I thought so, before seeing @profiler 's post, but I trust him. So maybe send another one with your signature.

Lots of the immigration process is legal. Your signature is a legal acknowledgement. Dating displays the date you acknowledged.

GUYSSS!!! I just saw an update on ECAS.... this makes no sense because we got the request twice sent it twice, then had a confirmation e-mail that they attached it... the MP assistant called they told her they were just waiting on the agencies to get back to them.....

Please wait until ************ receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Congrats! It will be a positive decision (unless, of course, you received a procedural fairness letter before now). Your DM might be delayed, but don't worry. The Immigration regulations state they must send the fairness letter -- without it, you're becoming a PR .

I have a problem. We thought that passport request for my partner is also passport request for the dependents outside Canada. So we booked a ticket already after my partners panding interview. A representative of ours in the Philippines went to VFS global them we found out that they need a separate passport request. What shall we do? We have not received a request yet and they are booked to fly on the 27th? When do they expect a Request letter? Will the letter be sent to us in Canada or to them outside? Please enlighten me.

That's an automated message every time there's an update on your case. I got this message on my ECAS when I received emails about anything, like the request for medical.

Decision Made in ECAS on the PR application side is a signal that they are finished processing. They have a decision. Now it's scheduling an interview.

Thanks profiler. I just called the call centre. The agent said we just need to wait for passport request letter from CPc vegreville. Though the ticket is booked, they cant do something about it tp exerite the request. I will contact my MP to assist us.

I probably would have waited until the PPR came, because they do come via email. It will take time to get the passports back, right? Anyway, mistakes were made, and we are here now.

If you cannot reschedule the tickets, then you might be able to bring them, have the PPR sent to you, and when you get their COPRs, just take them to a land crossing to flagpole...
