Hey guys I have quick question I have my cousin back home she went with to India with his husband and did the interview and I'm not sure if they passed or not they are not telling the truth but she is worried because she did it back in February and her medical would expire on April but she never heard back till now she is worried but not telling the truth do you guys think she got rejected?

No one knows how long background check will take. I’m in same situation as you. I’m sept 2015 applicant and it’s still in BG for more than a year.

Yes i applied nov 2015...interview was jan 2017 and security in process since jan 2017 ..no update..my mp said security can take upto 12months and only after that they can try to push for answers ...wt did ur mp say did they contact immigrtion minister

Wow i cant believe that Why it takes so long My bgc started on February 2017. I was hoping to get the ppr by December but i guess it won't happen

Thanks from all the answers.
My mp called in October 20th and said:
1- Eligibility review is done
2- Medical expires in 2 days and said we wait until the visa office ask us for another medical check up.
3- security check still in process.

Mp said he will contact me in January 2018.
I hope we hear sooner than January.

And yea my mp said we can’t push , even the prime minister can’t help as the security screening is very important process.

I wish you are all in good health InshAllah. I wanted to share with you my timeline. I'm a December 2015 Applicant sponsoring my husband from Dubai and our security check has started August 2016 and is still on going every time I make an enquiry with CIC they reply the same message that they are awaiting the results of the security check once they receive that only then they can proceed and issue the Visa and my MP said they are getting same response from CIC and that there is nothing anyone can do we just have to wait and pray to God. Our criminality has passed and is valid medical has passed and expired aside from that we are just at the last stage of security. After that InshAllah my husband will get Visa. Till then just waiting.

I am sponsor my husband from Kabul ,
His application December , 2016 and everything done actually his medical last month expired . Just background check or security is pending until now , they don't do any updates for afghan people . We are sponsor spouse not all family to take long time . Just pray getting visa soon inshallah .
