Hi,
I want some advise.
I am currently on a work permit and working with an employer in Ontario, I have submitted my PR application through Express Entry - FSW (Inland ofcourse :)).
I want to change my employer, would this impact my application in any way?
Am I supposed to inform CIC about this?
Is changing employers advisable during PR application in progress?

Thanks!

AOR: 10th July 2017
Documents, Eligibility, BGC: All under review (no updates on them since medical passed on 21st July 2017)

after my last conversation here with DelPiero07
and one of the applicants in similar situation, I had lost all hope of applying. being enraged by the system me and my other half emailed the PM regarding no specific rules for people like us. the Pm's office forwarded our email to Ahmed Hussen and a week later we end of with the following email:
"The Office of the Prime Minister has kindly forwarded to the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, a copy of your letter of October 7, 2017, regarding the Express Entry (EE) program.

I appreciate the reasons that prompted you to write. The EE system is designed to assess prospective candidates against a number of criteria that evidence has shown play a role in economic success for immigrants once in Canada. Based on the information provided in their EE profile, prospective candidates receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS score is an assessment of how an individual’s overall skills, experience, education, and other attributes measure against all of the factors that—in combination—are the best predictors of long-term economic success.

Please note that once a candidate makes it into the EE pool, they will be ranked against others in the pool and those with the highest assessments will be invited to apply. All applicants must still meet eligibility and admissibility requirements under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC’s) records confirm that your application into the Express Entry pool was received on August 17, 2017. Your application was assessed and your profile was accepted. A letter of confirmation was sent to you on August 23, 2017, indicating that you had 90 days to submit a full application. We encourage you to submit your application before November 22, 2017.

Our records further indicate that you selected Newfoundland/Labrador as your province of interest. Please note that there is no obligation for students who are studying in Quebec to reside in Quebec once they become permanent residents.

For more information about EE, and to view the latest round of invitations, please visit IRCC’s Website at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp. Clients are also able to check the status of an application through their account. Further information can be found at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/next_steps.asp.

Thank you for expressing your concerns. I trust that this information is of assistance.

Sincerely,

S. Charbonneau

Ministerial Enquiries Division"

Should I do what he said and apply? Or is this just generalized email brshing of the true question? because as we have already established being in quebec does cause people to have their PR applications rejected because of the "intent" problem. Kind of not sure what to do here.

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

Oh ok. When do you plan to submit your application?
You can submit your application with the current passport then renew it before PPR. You can update IRCC through a CSE when you have the new passport.
@TanakaM wondering if you could help me pls

I called CIC this morning re my App... just abit of BG on it- My application got rejected early on due to wrong PCC issued to me, however, i got the application reopened. I ordered 2 sets GCMS & it says Security: Cancelled, so im assuming they started it but cause they rejected it, it got cancelled & they havent started it again?! Im so confused, my BG check is NA on my account. They requested ADR 2 weeks ago & its been uploaded ready for review and the agent said my elligabilty, Criminality have all been passed they just have to do Security checks which could take months and could expect it in March 2018 (he was managing my expectations)

The additional request was for Family Form so perhaps its for BG checks?!?!

If anyone can shed some light id appreciate it....

Hey people...for proof of funds, I have printed off 6 month statements which are on official bank statements. I have a letter from the bank manager listing all my accounts , dates each account was opened and the current balance as well as latest transaction printed on the bank letter head.
I have a car loan with a different finance company and not other accounts with them. I have a statement from them which is on their letterhead from the date the loan was opened till today. The cover letter does not specifically state date account opened. Will this be fine.?

It would be better if you explain in the LOE that you have applied for PCC as soon as you have received an ITA and that the delay is with the current system issuing PCC (FBI in your case ), along with the receipts.
Great I will do that. But what time should I submit my application with LOE? My deadline is 20th dec

Hi All,
In my express entry profile, I specified "Work History" as "No" for my Husband, who is secondary applicant and has no Canadian experience, however he has work experience in India. I have received ITA in the last draw. Now, in application, I need to fill last 10 years of work/personal history for my husband.

I want to change the "Work History" as Yes in the application and specify his work experience.

Can you please let me know whether I should do this or will it be considered misrepresentation of facts? Or shall I contact CIC for this?

Please suggest, it will be of great help to me.

Thanks.
