I received ITA in April and submitted my File in July and got PPR on 28th August. Yesterday I received an update in Mycic account. Here comes the trouble that I never thought would come
In the status bar in my cic account my passport number is wrong with wrong expiry date. My passport number contains 89 but the status window has 98. It says counterfoil and valid document with approved status.
Now what to do?
I do not think it was a mistake on my part as I submitted my form after readig it 2-3 times. Or if i filled it wrongly it would have pointed out during the investigation process as my scanned passport would have not matched with the information filled in the ePR Form.
But now if the status window contains wrong passport then I am sure my CoPR will also have wrong passport number. What to do?
How to get it correct? Will it be solved or they will refuse my file.
Its like a nightmare to me. I waited for 4 years for this day and when it came it also brought such a horrible scene with it.
Please seniors guide me what are my options in both cases i.e. if it was a mistake on my part ( In case i filled the wrong passport number) or if it is a mistake on CIC part.

Try to notify them by raising CSE, sending email to CPC Ottawa (put Urgent in the title), and calling them. Make sure they are well aware of this. That's all you can do and hope it won't take so much time to fix it.
You don't need to tell them who made the mistake. Just tell them the info is wrong compared with your original document and they will solve it.

My visa and CoPR came from New Delhi visa office today by post. So should I contact the New Delhi visa office or should I raise the CSE. The letter along with the CoPR says if there is any error in the CPR then contact this office. So what should I do

Its been 5 days since i sent the email and cse but i am still waiting for the response. How long do you think it will take for them to respond back.
Another question about the expiry of the Copr and landing. Do have to land anytime before the copr expire? Cause someone told me i have to land in canada within 45 days of copr issue date. My copr has expirey date of may 2018. So do i have time till may 2018 to land canada to claim PR.
Should I visit visa office to get my cpr corrected.

Not sure how long you’ll have to wait to get a reply back.
You’ll need to land before the expiry date mentioned in your CoPR. Do not listen to people who claim 45 days expiry cause that’s not true. What matters is what’s written on your CoPR.
As much as there’s a lot of good information on this forum, there’s also people throwing wrong informations sometimes. For example, people keep saying PPR is for passport stamping, but they never actually stamp. All they do is attach an immigrant visa to one of the empty page and provides CoPR. So always read what’s on the official document.
Its wrong one. my passport has 89 they wrote 98 on both copr and counterfoil i also have a doubt they mentioned expiry date wrong my medical was on 5th may so expiry date should be 5th may but they wrote 8th may
