Nice article though. But I still doubt they will take another draw this year.
There were rumours for another draw but you know it is just a rumour until we see something addressed by officials.
Receiving less applications this year pool means, faster processing for current PGP applicants as well as previous years applicatants too, which in a way is good for future applicants too (less backlog).
I wish they could have another draw this year and have my parents selected, (right now I'm cosigning my in laws application.)

In the whole July, if it's doubled, there are only 2400 families that apply. And still, the "lotto" system is so brilliant!
But it did help to even the chances all over the country. I don't know if anybody have noticed from previous years' data sheets, the front runners were the ones who live closer to CIC office.

Lots of things can change in one month. Unless, there are lots of people that can't meet the financial criteria and won't send the application. But i'd bet that the number o applications submitted between the date in the article and the deadline tripled(at least).

I received the SA on July 15th, and Permanent Residence Application Status changed to In progress next day. Today, I checked the ECAS, and showed back to Application Received. Any problems? Thanks.

I don't know what these items mean but I got email on Aug 2 sayng you have met requirements and your case sent to London office. The first email I received. Can someone update this info in spreadsheet please

Just received an email from CPC Mississauga, which looked like an AOR (even though I was able to see it in ECAS since June 23)
The email is saying that my application was accepted under the 2017 cap. I am not sure if this is the SA, since I am from Quebec. There was no indication that I would proceed with the Quebec undertaking.
Anyone else got the email ?
