Hi Guyz.. anyone help me...

How difficult is Jurisprudence Exam and what are the chances to clear in first attempt?

And what if I fail, will it give a bad impression or will it effect on my CNO registration?

Is there any sample exam that we can attempt before

There are some sample questions on CNO, not super difficult.

I printed out all documents from CNO, and i took the test with the documents

Hi,
My wife left her job as a RN on May 2015 . She has almost seven years of professional experience. However, we haven't begun registration process with NNAS. Just want to know what happens if she is found to be out of practice for more than three years at CNO stage.

Hi, it's been 29 days they got my documents according to my tracking number.. but still I am waiting to be updated.. is there anyone else who have the same timeline.. I started in march and almost sent all the documents.. hope will get report soon:)
Be careful! They took 3 months to confirm that they have received my documents. And they just did it because I called there complaining.
There were two letter in the same tracking number. They forgot about the second letter and I have to call there again the next week until they find everything.

Now I've decide to call every single week to check everything. That's the only way to make things move. And it's still veeeery slow.

The Jurisprudence Exam is an open book exam that you take at home on your computer but you have to complete it in the time given. if you fail you have to pay each time you have to redo it and it does not give a bad impression and you can't get your CNO registration without it.

To prepare just follow the information on the CNO website and have them available when you are doing the exam so you can have a higher chance to pass on your first attempt, you are allowed to look at your notes/book for this exam. All the best

Just an update regarding the NNAS Client Satisfaction Survey:

After 3 emails and 2 phone calls since May, I finally received a response from NNAS regarding their claim that client satisfaction had increased from 89% to 92.5% in the last reporting year.

I asked how many applicants were given the opportunity to complete the survey, how many completed the survey, and at what point during the NNAS process they were given the opportunity to complete it. While I was at it, I also asked how many NNAS Advisory Reports were issued (since their report only says how many people applied, which tells us nothing about whether they are completing the assessments in the time frame that they say they are). I also asked what the breakdown in results was (comparable, somewhat comparable, non comparable).

I received an email response that confirmed my gut feeling that the survey is given at any point in time, at NNAS discretion. So they can send the survey out to a client when they have a positive phone conversation with them, but choose not to send one out to a client with whom they just dealt with an issue or whom is upset with NNAS. They declined to respond to any of my other questions, stating that the information contained in the report is the only information they ever intend to share.

Needless to say, I am not surprised but I am disappointed. I am especially disappointed at the government dollars that went into the startup of NNAS and the lack of transparency they embody and are permitted to embody since they are not technically an entity of the government. They are the sole access point to IEN's nursing in Canada--a role granted to them by the licensing bodies, so have the monopoly in this market, yet are at arms length from government and therefore not bound to any transparency whatsoever. It is clear to all of us that there is absolutely no way NNAS client satisfaction is 92.5%. It is clear to them too--otherwise they would have provided more numbers and would not have been so determined to shut the subject down. This refusal to even attempt transparency is worrisome. What else is going on behind the scenes?

It won't look bad on your registration. I'm sure there are some who fail but you can just do it again. CNO has so many applicants, and so many IEN applicants, plus they are in some legal trouble right now. The last thing they will worry about is how many times you wrote Jurisprudence. So study for sure, and do it more than once if you need to. Be sure to read the questions throughly. Some of the questions have key words that make a big difference, when you read the question for the second time.

If you were working as a nurse with a nursing license, then that counts as working as a nurse. So it hasn't been 3 years yet, so your safe practice hasn't expired. The problem is, by the time you get everything ready (NNAS can take a year sometimes), it will be expired.
Can't I apply for NNAS RN evaluation if my safe practice have already expired? Do you have an idea if a spousal open work permit holder can study at the same time? My husband is applying for student permit and i will be applying for open work permit for 2018, if i start the nnas now, i would probably get the result before we go there.

I'm not sure there would be any point in paying the money for the assessment if it has expired. Does anyone else have a different opinion?
Sorry I'm not sure about the permissions on the visas. I'm Canadian so I've never dealt with Canadian visas.

Hi,

It has to be sent to NNAS. Some IELTS revenues are able to send directly to NNAS by email. If not they have to send by mail to the NNAS address in Philadelfia.

NNAS is the conduit to CNO. All documents must be submitted to NNAS, who then forwards them on to CNO.
Hi RN_0001, I applied CRNBC, CNO. I completed my NNAS Processing. NNAS never asked me to submit IELTS. They issued my advisory report and got ' Not Comparable' both CRNBC & CNO. I applied CRNBC & CNO Regulatory body. and paid assessment fees. Still I did not submit my IELTS. But I am preparing for IELTS examination.
My question is, I checked CRNBC & CNO language requirements of IELTS. I never noticed saying to send the IELTS Result directly form the IDP or British council to nursing regulatory body. Once we got the required score then we can send the IELTS result to Canadian nursing regulatory body . But NNAS had clearly mentioned that IELTS result must be sent directly from IDP.
Please reply

I applied back in Dec 2015 to NNAS.At that time only for CNO there was a waiver of IELTS by NNAS in the sense that they will process application without IELTS/CELBAN. For all other it was required to get advisory report.

From your experience it seems there are some change in NNAS procedure. Now I wonder its applicable only on CRNBC & CNO or on all nursing regulatory bodies?
