What do they verify in the Background check other than criminality, security? Like calling up past employers, schools, university etc?

PM inquired about status and they said:
· The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s spouse meet the eligibility requirements.
o the assessment for the spouse is still in process at the Canadian visa office in London, United Kingdom.
· The criminality verifications are currently valid.
· The security verifications are currently valid.


CIC/GCKey shows:

eligibility in process.
Medical not required.
Add doc not required.
Interview not required.

Background in process. (so how is background different than security?)

Same as my wife application, I order GCMS notes to only find out nothing has been done. But according to some forums, it is also because may be sec and crim does not require in your case.

My last notes shows it in transit as well. WTF is it in transit for 3 months now......

yes you are right, i know my indian friends they almost brought their whole families on visit visas, their sas bahu cousins etc etc. Somehow they are able to get visit visas in couple of days. I think we are portrayed as the second last worst nation in the world so it makes sense our cases are being treated like this.

yup true even student visa so easy for Indians they get in 3, 4 months after submission their papers as well as visitors yea but for Pakistanis its really hard to get even spouse visa i sponsored my husband last year in august but still waiting

You cannot call cpc mississauga directly you have to call cic

Yeah you are right, everybody is being treated better than us. I think CIC is indirectly trying to us us to find people in Canada lol

I am sorry that you feel that way but you see they see you and Afghanistan has high risk because certain groups of people, give you guys a bad name and immigration is doing there job to wèed out real and fake marriages
