PM inquired about status and they said:
· The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s spouse meet the
eligibility requirements.
o the assessment for the spouse is still in process at the Canadian visa office in London, United Kingdom.
· The criminality verifications are currently valid.
· The security verifications are currently valid.
CIC/GCKey shows:
eligibility in process.
Medical not required.
Add doc not required.
Interview not required.
Background in process. (so how is background different than security?)
BGC means security plus criminality. Criminality is verified by police certificates that u provided while separate agencies do the security checks. Security portion is always hidden in GCMS and u can't find much about it. As per MP your eligibility, and background checks are still in progress.
Nobody wants attention on Facebook group. It is entirely possible that this person got passport request in 3 months. From 2016 there are ppl who got their application processed in 3 to 6 months while others waited for 8 to 9 and some are still waiting.
It looks like LVO is assigning new batches of files to visa officers as they have target to finish 2017 applications in the same year.
Wish they would also prioritise 2015 and 2016 applications which are over due. Good luck to all!
Hello everyone.
I am Sponsor and filed my wife application in April 2017. I recently change my job in Canada and moved to new address . Should I update CIC about my new Job an Address ? If I don,t would it affect my application processing in anyway?and do they send any sort of correspondence to residential address?
Thanks in advance.
and yes i was observing in forum that many people here ECAS shows status of spouse as well as PA. Whereas My ECAS show status of PA only. Is it normal ?
I have a question regarding the "Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application" question that they ask before linking your application on cic... Do i write 2? because it's me and my husband or do i just write 1?

Yes you should let CIC know about your updated address. Sponsor can update their address through Ecas by logging with sponsors UCI. It should be updated as CIC sends original documents to sponsors address and also on applicants COPR correct address of sponsor should be written so yes do update yeh address.
For some reason I'm unable to link my application to my CIC account even though all the information is correct. Is it because I applied through a lawyer?

Yes it's normal because you are entering applicant's information to check ecas
If you enter sponsor's information to check ecas then you'll see both sponsor and applicant's information.

If u login with applicant details on Ecas you will only see the PA side. If u login with sponsor details you will see both.

So i can't get a more detailed status of my application? that sucks
Won't it only be 1 because there's only 1 applicant that applied for PR
