im also working in dubai
and my wife whi is my sponser living with me here but i travel alot

I don't know what they're doing. Is background check in process? There's no update on my husbands background check on ECAS.

or u never order notes?
mine notes also showing ur background is in progress
if ur background is also in progress then next step is descion made and u get visa

I can't access cic gc key account because i applied through a lawyer and i didn't know we could order notes but thanks to this thread i found out we can order notes?? our lawyer didn't tell us anything about this before.
so your wife is living with you? when is she coming back? they usually ask for proof if the sponsor is planning to come back to canada. I think it's best to come back before they ask for proof of returning

Saw a post in ADVO thread. the following member is jul 2016 applicant applying from Abu dhabhi. can anyone clarify why the eligibility is written as passed when security n criminality have not started? i thought security n criminality = Background check. and after all checks are done then they decide eligibility. in our case, eligibility is "not started" and security n criminality is "in progress". plz comment

In gcms notes eligibility, criminalityand security is either not started, recommended passed, passed etc. It never goes to in progress. However in mycic if BGC shows in progress it means it's really started. You have to order GCMS notes again and again to find of there's any progress.

On a Sat?? that is awesome! Oh and we got In-process on ECAS (on the main page, the clickable option) the same day Medical was passed and Schd A uploaded. The 4th line on ECAS was added on June 6 once file was transferred to LVO (May 24) and processing began on May 31st. I think and hope, that when they start working on Eligibility, the status goes into in-process mode.

No, they don't start working on eligibility just yet. It goes to In Process when your file is in "queue" for initial review of eligibility by the immigration officer.

my medial was expired on April 2017. Background checks are currently in progress. Will they ask for new medical?

Yes lvo will ask for re medical. Did you contact LVO for status update recently?

She hasn't been back since 2 years so i guess that could be a red flag... sometimes they think that the sponsor has no intentions of returning back so that's why they take longer to investigate. So i think it's best to send her back

it just shows last line
we process your application on 23 September 2016.
might be they did not process the background check yet OMG

No, they don't start working on eligibility just yet. It goes to In Process when your file is in "queue" for initial review of eligibility by the immigration officer.

I've heard that CPC Mississauga started off applications before sending them to VO, so my guess is some of the work had begun here before it reached LVO. Our GCKey also indicates that eligibility is being reviewed.

The idea is to process applications faster given that processing time is now reduced by 8 months. So fingers crossed.
