Congrats!! DM in ECAS and an interview means landing!

After you and them go through the questions they want to ask (simple -- not a test), you sign, they sign, and you keep a copy of the paper. About 3 months later a Card comes in the mail that you can use to enter Canada with.

You have to update your health insurance (so they know you are a PR), and SIN (immediately -- this will be a permanent number for you)

They give you your CoPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence), this is the document you need for your SIN and health insurance.

I got a request for medical on July 10. Can somebody tell after the medicals have been submitted. How long does the process takes for DM on ecas. Any time frame ?

Each case is different. Some get it soon (days/weeks), some have to wait a bit longer. @profiler or @sylvain1 could probably tell you a bit more about that.
ps. I am in a situation where I just submitted medical and.. I am hoping to hear from IRCC soon.

It really depends whether they finished your security check or not. If only the medical was preventing them to grant you PR, it will go fast after. But if the security checks aren't completed, it can still take few months.
Edit: I just saw from a previous post that you applied in July 2016, so it is likely that within few weeks after your medical you will get your DM.

if the sponsor signs in, you get both sides, if just the applicant signs in, they don't see the sponsor side

ours says "decision made" on sponsor side, and just "application received" on the applicant side , but if the applicant signs in , only the applicant info is there

But security check is not your police certificate, it's done via secret services in collaboration with other countries. That's why sometimes, it's long to have them completed.

@Gusbella : this is correct. Intelligence services from Canada and their international partners do run an investigation to ensure you are not a security risk to Canada (eg: didn't engage in subversive activities to over-throw governments; war crimes; crimes against humanity; organized crime; etc etc).

Not quite the same as the simple check to make sure you didn't get rip-roarin' drunk and jump behind the wheel of a car. This is Criminality.

CNN ran a story that apparently cited a Slack conversation with people inside Brietbart news that was funny. And as republicans control both chambers, even if they don't like him, I still have hard time believing they would do such a thing to a republican president. But, I would love to be wrong!
