What does they check under it? Does eligibility completed means that my documents were checked and verified?

Nobody knows for sure what they check. But it can take more than a year.

Eligibility completed - yes, but it doesn't mean it's finalized completely. It all depends.

Hey can IRCC call agents be able to tell us if our file is under comprehensive security check?

Hi Guys, I had a question regarding the security clearance. Everything is passed for me except for prohibitions. I have been waiting for it to b completed for almost 2 months now. My background check has also passed and was never asked for fingerprints. I emailed my local office yesterday and I received a response stating 'Your application is pending finalization of your clearances by IRCC’s partners. For all citizenship applications, background checks are initiated, and IRCC works with its partners to complete the verification. During this process, additional delays may occur'. Just wanted to get some insights. Would I be considered a non-routine application? should I expect my prohibitions to get updated soon or would it take forever? My GCMS also states that my criminal check is passed.

No-one would be able to give you a meaningful answer except on this: if it goes over the time they say is normal, it's by definition non-routine.

Hi, I talked to couple of attorneys and they both said that I should wait till February/March 25 to consider applying for Mandamus. I am in the same boat as you. Applied in December 23 and stuck in Security and Prohibitions.
Hey brother did you got any update did you filed writ of mandamus? Please reply

Hi there, I did file for the writ of mandamus and my lawyer sent IRCC a memo with my case and within a month of him sending the notes IRCC approved my application and atlast after waiting for 15 months my Citizenship ceremony was scheduled on April 28th, 2025.

I started the process in December 2024 and got completed in April 2025.
