You can order GCMS notes but your file likely won’t be looked at for another 1.5+ years unless there are changes to the program. At the point there will be no information about processing except AOR so no point in ordering GCMS notes. There is a huge number of cases waiting to be processed with a small quota which will be decreasing every year so expect processing times to be very long (years) unless there are changes to the program.
Hello all,
We just received a letter that my husband’s H&C application has been AOP? And that we need to do a medical and submit a few documents within 30 days… does this mean he will get his PR?
Think you mean AIP but yes that is good news. Barring any issues yes he should get PR. May take many months to actually get the eCOPR because there is a backlog to land.

Oh whoops! I was reading it as Approval ON principle and not AIP. We currently just submitted our spousal application too as it’s been almost 5 years and no updates on this H&C application. So we thought it’s gone into limbo. And now we have a chance at either H&C or spousal application.
There is no set timeline for approval onto the next stage for H&C?
As you can see in your Gcms notes. app status reason: information required.
It means that they require information from you.
I am recommending you to call them today.

Because of the smaller yearly quotas for H&C and volume of applicants it is taking much longer to get from AIP to eCOPR. I would look back through the posts and look at date people received AIP and then got eCOPR. Based on your previous posts looks like the medical may be the only thing that is required for your application to be finalized given your spouse has been living and working in Canada for such a long period of time. When did you apply for spousal sponsorship? It is really up to you whether you want to keep both processing or try to save some money and withdraw the spousal sponsorship.
