Any one waiting on decision with a non-routine application. I applied sept 2022, application is non-routine, ircc told mp the application is being worked on and they should call back in 6 weeks.
Any 2022 applicants still waiting?
I applied September 2022, received eligibility since November 2023 and it’s now Feb 2025 and still nothing. Last gcms notes ordered December 2024 and info sharing was still being processed.
the last time my MP called was January 2025 and they were told that my file is open and is being worked on and they will call ircc again for feedback next month.
it is very disheartening to be on this forum and can see others who applied after you that are receiving final decision. It’s been a really long wait. I also don’t believe that ircc has any specific quotas because of this it’s quite random the way they are processing the applications.
Currently my application is classified as non routine and this basically means there is no special processing time for it. I considered filing mandamus but why spend money on that when my approval may be right around the corner? (At least this is what I tell myself).
I hope this will be the year for all those who have been waiting since 2022 to receive their PR.
Applied in March of 2022. Non Routine...still waiting.

What is non routine?
Means normal processing time does not apply.

Is it good or bad?
In essence yes because that means you will have to wait beyond the usual processing time and there is just no telling when that will be until you see an email saying you’ve been approved from ircc.

Common Reasons for Non-Routine Processing:
1. Security Screening & Info Sharing – If your background check requires additional security screening or information sharing with other agencies (e.g., CBSA, CSIS, or international partners), it can take much longer.
2. Inconsistencies or Missing Documents – If there are discrepancies in your application, or if IRCC requests additional documents, it can cause delays.
3. Previous Immigration History – If you have prior visa refusals, removals, or status issues in Canada or another country, your application may be reviewed in more detail.
4. Medical or Criminal Admissibility Issues – If you or a family member have a medical condition that requires further assessment or a criminal record that needs clearance, it can slow down processing.
5. Complex Background (e.g., Multiple Nationalities, Travel History) – Extensive travel history, multiple residencies, or nationality-related concerns can require additional verification.
Are there any 2022 September applicants outside Quebec still waiting for portal 1? I received a ghost update on GCkey: Final decision - February 3, 2025: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made. After that, radio salience. My MP told me that all the assessments are passed and I am only waiting for the final decision. Are there anyone here who are facing similar situations?

I’m September 2022 applicant waiting for decision in ontario. You might need to call ircc because if you see that in your portal it means you have gotten final decision. Just check with them to see what’s the delay with the P1 email.

@PR waiting There is recent movement on the file and they are likely in queue for P1.

Stay strong! Hopefully we will get p1 in April.

According to my MP, they just wait to make the final decision/p1. Pure quota issues.
