Pls I am November 2023 applicant received pre-arrival letter and eligibility letter in Jan 2025. Called Ircc few days told me everything has passed but security has not started pls what does this mean? Cos I was told criminality has passed and I don’t understand what other security that has not started.

Security screening they check in data base of five countries( Canada, New Zealand, UK, USA, Australia) if You have a file there. Takes between one or nine months. It's the longest . I'm from August 2023 and I didn't start it year.

But if You have it or not, the processing time willi depend on the time one Officer opens your file, received and answer, put all info together and Make final decission. This is the hardest part and takes time.
