Processing time LMIA - GTS (Global Talent Stream)

Hello everyone,

I'm applying for an LMIA - GTS (Global Talent Stream) inside Canada (BC) and the application was submitted on April 18th and is still being processed.

Has anyone recently applied and received LMIA GTS approval within 2 weeks as stated on the government website?
How about the closed work permit? Is it also processed within 2 weeks as well?

However, I'm waiting for a new work permit while 110 days inside Canada. Also, the BC region.

Yes, I am. I'm a Software Engineer. I think it depends on your company status. If it's a big corporation, IRCC will confirm LMIA very fast.

For the LMIA in BC, I heard that employers have to get first business registration certificates, am I right? My close work permit expiring in first week of August and my employer is trying to get LMIA for my work permit extension. Any advice for work permit extension if I don’t get LMIA approval soon please?

The current processing time for a work permit within Canada is 97 days but they don’t mention if it’s business days or not. Are you counting 124 calendar days?

97 days, according to the calendar. It's not business days
