With Oct 10 application, there is some chance for you to get OCI in hand by Nov 30. As Toronto is already processing OCI pretty fast, I do not think there is any speed up option. A lot of people are in the same situation as you, unless you have a personal emergency. In that case it is in principle possible to get an emergency visa.
Well, the most obvious category that is missing in their list is the normal tourist visa. Based on that I would think e-visa is also out although e-visa is not a category administered by the HCI. Their intent is not to make this any easy for casual visits.
Are minors receiving OCI acknowledgments from the consulate lately? or do minors receive OCI delivered directly to home address without status change updates on OCI enquiry portal?
We applied for OCI (2 adults and 2 minors on Oct 3 and Oct 4 at BLS Brampton via appointments).
Both adults received acknowledgment on Oct 20 and is under-process.
But, for minors, as of today, it shows no-record found.
I checked BLS tracking a while ago and for both kids it says "processing at consulate".
The figure stated on BLS site is 45 days. Once you add BLS delays, transit times etc, 2 months? But I think, in reality, it could be much faster. There are people who have got entry visa in 10 days in the past.
I applied for OCI in person at BLS Brampton on Oct 5. Application date on BLS tracker Oct 5. Date of Acknowledgement on OCI status page Oct 25.
This is for your tracker @eas2lv.

Hi All, If one goes to this site, https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/Registration, the drop down now allows 'Canada' and Canadian nationality. Interestingly, even in the TYPE of visa drop down, TOURIST visa also appears! So by this token, can I assume that one can apply for TOURIST visa as well and not just ENTRY visa and perhaps the HCI OTTAWA communication inadvertently missed out mentioning TOURIST visa
