Does the email say anything about rescheduling for an in-person ceremony ?

You should call IRCC beforehand and request for only in-person. Do note it will delay your oath as in-person are few.

Can I do it now, when my oath is already scheduled?

My friend rescheduled his oath. they asked him to send a letter of explanation and rescheduled him after 2 months. His situation was that he was in india due to work contract when they sent him the request. They asked him to send his ticket as proof for them to have a timeline. He did that in July and landed in Toronto. After waiting 4 weeks he wrote to his local MP about the situation. And after weeks of waiting and anxiety he completed his oath yesterday.
Thought of sharing this. Do not delay oath, only do it if it's your last option.

My personal recommendation is go with what's already there. Rescheduling could take time. Some instances in forum where people are waiting since 6 months. If you don't have problem waiting you can talk to IRCC.
Hey guys, what’s ecas and how to check status through that? Is there a difference between your profile and ecas status? Thanks
