I submitted my SDS profile on March 25th, my biometrics on March 29th, and passed my medical exam on April 5th. Since then, I have waited for 11 weeks, and until now I haven't received any update about PPR. I'm so sad and so worried if I can study at school in Canada on time

Well, I'm from Vietnam
Yes, like you said, it's miserable to wait like this. I even suffered from insomnia and lost a few pounds.
I don't know if I should send them a web form or not.
Thanks for encouraging me, I actually also hope you get your PPR soon

Hey @BalaKCB! :) Thanks for your message! I've seen your further posts - congratulations on your PPR! :) Your timeline was great, not scary after all! And by the way, your timeline also proves that SP + OWP applications do not take longer to process simply based on the fact of being a joint application.

My husband and I are still waiting for the decision on our application. It will be 16 weeks for us the day after tomorrow. There are just a few people left with such an insane timeline and no-one can explain the reasons for it.

Good luck to you! :)
@parrots Thank you so much. Yes, you are right. There are scary myths about joint applications. Many a times people suggest that a couple should not file their visas together. But, it is clearly written on the IRCC website that it is possible. I think couples should apply together. Sometimes the processing might take a little extra time, but if they get approved together, then nothing like it.

I understand your worry, it takes a lot of patience to wait that long. But there is always hope, until you get a final decision. Have faith. I wish you and your husband all the very best. I'm sure you guys will get a good news soon:). Keep me posted. OM

My son submitted on Apr 28 and was approved on Jun 2 2023 (SDS from Viet Nam too) .... Suggest you should raise the webform as yr case has already exceeded the processing time (7 weeks as of Jun 6 2023).

Wising you all the best !

Well, I want to ask you about a problem: one of my friends also applied for SDS, and after 9 weeks of waiting, she sent them a webform, but it's been 10 days and she still hasn't received any updates about PPR. So what's wrong with this? What if she should send them more webforms?
I'm so worried if I might be in the same problem like her

Thank you so much @BalaKCB! :) I agree with every word you said. It is nothing like it! And couples should apply together, I would advice the same, for sure! My husband and I are the proof of that! We have received our OPRs today in the morning after almost 16 weeks of waiting! Our timeline:

SDS for SP + OWP from China
Application Submitted - 16 February
Medical "Completed" (for me) - 20 May
Biometrics "Completed" - 19 April
Everything Else "In Progress" for both of us - 19 April
OPRs for both of us - 6 June
Everything "Completed" for both of us - 6 June

It is a sweet feeling and I wish everyone to experience it! Good luck everyone! :)

Hey @BalaKCB! Thank you so so much for celebrating this wonderful news with us and for your warm wishes! :D We still cannot quite believe it, stayed up all night yesterday, couldn't sleep :D Now our heads are spinning as to how to prepare our journey in under two months, but those are pleasant worries obviously! Wish everyone reach this very joyful point in their applications! Good luck to you too and stay in touch! ;)

@DiDi_2617 Just stay patient, your decision shouldn't take longer than 14 weeks at most. If it does, talk to your college or uni about deferral. Webforms do not help, just wait a bit longer ;)

Frankly speaking, I have no experience with that. However, one of my friends did send the web form when her case exceeded the processing time (10 weeks) and she got the update in the portal after 1 week. For me, it will much depend on the officers who are in charge of your application as well as the complication of your case, especially the background verification. Anyway, it is up to your decision but if there is a "legal change" by raising the web form, why shouldn't we try?

Again wishing you all the best and am glad to see your good update after a few days
