SDS application from India.
Applied 21 May
Biometrics updated 26 May
Original Passport Request 03 Jun

I am a 33yo male with a 10 year study gap. I finished my bachelors in 2012 with a 8.17/10 CGPA. My IELTS score was 8.5/9. Going for a Masters program at Ryerson in Fall 2023. I did everything on my own - from college applications to visa application. I have a virgin passport.
I applied on the new portal since forms scare me.
I would love to help anyone if they have any questions for me. :)

Awesome! Many congratulations to you. We (me and my Husband) also did everything on our own. University application to visas. We got our PPR on 26 May and right now our passports are under process. This gives a great sense of accomplishment to get this done on our own, in the given situation where there are so much miss-guidance and frauds happening around. All the best everyone!!!!

Hey @BalaKCB! :) Thanks for your message! I've seen your further posts - congratulations on your PPR! :) Your timeline was great, not scary after all! And by the way, your timeline also proves that SP + OWP applications do not take longer to process simply based on the fact of being a joint application.

My husband and I are still waiting for the decision on our application. It will be 16 weeks for us the day after tomorrow. There are just a few people left with such an insane timeline and no-one can explain the reasons for it.

Good luck to you! :)

It is a family application for me (SP) and my Husband (SOWP). We applied on May 2nd and Biometric updated on May 9th. I think they do take more time for family applicants as compared to single applicants. But the current timeline is literally scaring me. The waiting game is giving a lot of stress.

Have you and your spouse got any news yet?
All the best.

Congratulations to you @Priyanka2010! :)

May I ask, how did you address your study gap? And how did you justify getting a law degree in a foreign country as it might be hard to prove that you will be able to use it to advance your career back in your home country.
