I am happy to let you know that we received passport request letter on Feb. 7th. I have two questions
- We are asked to fill "Updated Information Chart in Appendix A". Since only my parents are coming, do we need to fill the information for my parents' children even though non is accompanying them to Canada? shall I include myself, the sponsor, as I am a child of my parents?
- We need to send the passport to VFS in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Does anyone know if we can do it in person or it has to be by mail? (I couldn't find the information online and they are not responding; worst case, we will try in person and see how it goes)

Most of us included all children in the Appendix A.

Thank you. I see online that medical was passed on January 6, 2023. We just received a medical surveillance undertaking but no instructions with it. Does my mother in law sign this and hand it to the officer upon arrival?

Also, can we please update the tracker? I can't see a line number for me but my username is acalinao.

Medical surveillance begins after landing is complete. Don't worry about it for the time being.

Just contacted our MP to verify why my parents 2019 application is still stuck. I was told that they have started the Security/Criminality check in November 2022. She also mentioned that the status of the application is changed to 'non-routine application'. Does anyone know what does that mean?

Non routine means it will follow the "normal" processing steps plus additional steps simply put more checks/documents will be required for various reasons.

I do have a question for you: did you move out of Canada while your application is processing or are you in compliance with any RO?

No, I never moved out of Canada since I applied for my application.

Yes, my father was in State Police.

That’s more than likely the reason the application has gone the non routine route

I was told that the security check is being done by 3rd party agency. Does that mean to the home country's agency or just CBSA? Also, any idea how long it could take?

I think in most cases it is under two weeks. Rest IRCC is unpredictable. Can you please share ur timeline? And VO?
