PS: On 9/1/2023 I received a request letter in my GC key account to pay 170$ (me and my husband) for biometrics. (we both have valid biometrics already as we are inland applicants). After I paid 170$ and sent the receipt I only got a BIL for myself, not for my husband. While I was waiting at service Canada on 11th January to give my biometrics again I received portal 1 I think the request letter to pay for biometrics again was a glitch in their system. I have already informed them about this through a web form. I wish everyone gets their confirmation soon!

it's frustrating to see all the inconsistencies in processing times and it's also frustrating that my life as I know it is in the hands of some visa officer

If you get to the queue, the first message will say something like "transferring to next available agent" and then will give you an estimated wait time. The first option will then be the call back option, and the IVR will ask you to enter your 10 digit phone number to get a call back you can hang up and wait. Hope this was useful.
