Hi guys
I applied under French speaking International Graduate stream in September 2021
Received AOR January 2022.
Medicals passed March 2022
No updates until September when i applied for GCMS notes. Stated my file had been sent for review.
I created an express entry profile in November 2022 and received an ITA January 18.
Question: Should i proceed with EE PR application? or go on with TR to PR?
I have two outland dependents and I just want them to get here in the shortest time possible.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Since we don’t know why your file was sent for review, if you are concerned that your TR to PR may get rejected, keep proceeding with the EE PR. You are permitted to have more than one application in process. Keep checking your junk/spam folder to to make sure nothing from IRCC ends up there. Best wishes!
I called IRCC yesterday and the agent said he sent an email to the office to provide an update on my application. is that the normal procedure

Although there a few paths you can take in the voice mail queueing, I usually follow this:
1-888-242-2100 -- then after introductory messages, enter 1, then your UCI followed by # -- then 1 to confirm your UCI, then select 1, 2, 0.
They open at 8 am in each time zone.
It often takes 15 minutes to an hour to get into the queue so be prepared to dial many times, and then possible wait on hold for another 30 minutes to an hour or more.
Some times you are given an option for them to call you back rather than sitting on hold. This has also worked for me in the past.
This doesn't sound normal based on most earlier responses on this forum but perhaps you've run into a very helpful agent. We'd love to know if anything comes of it.

Same thing happened with me. I called IRCC just a while ago for the status, the agent asked me when was the last time i called IRCC for the update? When i mentioned its more than 6 months ago, he put me on hold for about 7 minutes, came back with the response that he has sent an email to the office to check on the status of the application and that the only status he has right now is the one which is available online.
When i asked him how will i get to-know the revised status after hearing back from the office, the agent advised to call back in a few days or to check the status online. (assuming the email from agent might expedite the process or update the online portal at the least).

Can't believe what just happened. I found out that I got PR confirmation and a portal email three days ago.
For some reason it was stuck in spam folder but hey, I have it in my hand anyways.
Here's my timeline in case if anyone is wondering:

AOR: June-ish 2021
ADR: November 2021 (family information and medicals)

For all of you who are waiting. I am very sure that you will get yours soon.
