Hi guys, I need advice. I got portal request yesterday but, I am currently in India. I am coming back on 31st January. So, should I reply them saying I am outside canada, if I replied them, do I have to wait for their reply? Or is it better to wait one week and reply them once I am back? @CherAmie @maxiie @SmzAmir
I am not yet in that stage so I am not sure. I don’t think 1 week should make a difference and it would be wise to respond once you are here. But again, it’s a crucial decision so I would advise to consult with an RCIC regarding this.

If I plan on traveling right after my PR is approved but i have not received my PR card- will that situation make me require a Canadian Visa?
Then you would have to apply prtd from back home & what I have heard it’s time consuming

ARE Y'ALL SITTING DOWN? ... I got my OWP (under TR to PR Temp Policy) on Friday, a Ghost Update (GU) on my account this morning, Tuesday, but no change to the status, AND yet received my PR approval email this morning! I've updated my timeline in my signature.

It seems that IRCC is holding to its commitment that finishing TR to PR is a indeed a priority for 2023. For awhile, towards the end of 2022, they were following a pattern of approximately 1 year from AOR, and so that, plus the due date in my GCMS notes, had me believe that I might not get PR until May of 2023. But here it is 'only' 8 months from AOR. So there is hope that they are speeding up the process somewhat.

Best wishes!
Congrats to you and for your help for others. But I believe you got it sooner because you were in French category? I haven’t checked your timeline yet, checking now

Hello all,
Seeing as some of us are still waiting and have no timeline for this lovely process, I wanted to apply through express entry.
I’ve heard that the system doesn’t allow multiple applications for PR even if you’ve different accounts.
My TR to PR was applied through a consultant. So, can I make a separate account to apply for express entry or does a consultant have to do it ?
You should be able to apply through a separate account imo

Yes it says so. They will delay your landing process and instructions will be given once inland.

Hi guys
I applied under French speaking International Graduate stream in September 2021
Received AOR January 2022.
Medicals passed March 2022
No updates until September when i applied for GCMS notes. Stated my file had been sent for review.

I created an express entry profile in November 2022 and received an ITA January 18.

Question: Should i proceed with EE PR application? or go on with TR to PR?
I have two outland dependents and I just want them to get here in the shortest time possible.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I would urge that you reply to the email, because in the email itself there is an option people outside Canada, they can mention the date that they will return back to Canada, hopefully that helps. but I would consult an agent or call the IRCC to be on the safe side.
