I just received a message that my BOWP application is approved. AFTER RECEIVING MY COPR!!! OMG why? Just so I can't ask for a reimbursement??? Doesn't make sense!

You likely need a BOWP to cover you until your eCOPR is through to you.

I didn't. I even thought it would be automatically cancelled.

Yeah I was planning to. But since they never updated the application since I placed it, I didn't think they would approve it. At least not in the very next day. It doesn't make sense because the BOWP is valid until the expiration date or the PR decision, whichever comes first. So the my permit is being issued today and expired yesterday lol! What a mess!

CEC is express entry so is processed faster than non-EE streams

I know of multiple people from December 20th onwards who have received their ECOPR.

Funny how it take months to just receive a eCOPR lol and than wait another few weeks or months to get the PR card. Its driving me crazy!
