Hi everyone,

Any chance if IRCC will resume AORs October this month? I have seen people with AOR in November already received RFV, but almost none from Oct and most of them are all stucked in Background check step (security and criminality). Do you know how long usually it takes to have background check done? Thank you!

My timeline is the following:
AOR: 13th October
GU2: 23th Nov (eligibility passed) and nothing since then.
VO: Ottawa

I think there is an issue with french speakers files. Maybe a lack of IRCC agents that speak french

That's very sad, if I knew that before I would have paid for a translation
They keep saying that they want french speakers out of Québec province but it doesn't look like they help for it

Yes I did! Well, it is true that French applications are always slower in the processing than English ones, but still I have seen people with french docs already received PPR in December although they submitted their application in Nov. So there is absolutely no logic behind!!!

Your AOR is in OCT, which is very under timeline, as many October folks are waiting for PR. So what triggered you to get cbsa notes? I am AOR 5 OCT and was wondering should I get notes or not.

When was the last update on your file?

I am planning to travel on March and I want to get an estimate if I can. Also, I cannot get through with the agent every time I am calling. So that’s one of the reason why I requested.

The last update based on the notes was Jan. 03, which is the criminality passed.

It means the agent who have reviewed your file have recommended to the Visa Officer that everything if good. Agents review your application first and lastly visa officers.
