Has anyone ever succeeded to speak with an actual human being from IRCC over the phone? My every attempt on 1-888-242-2100 ends up at "we cannot transfer your call" and hanging up abruptly. Is there any other number/way to speak with anyone?
I'm not getting any response to emails, web forma, paper letter, and the phone kicks me out. This is ridiculous. People who applied and passed their exams months after me are already getting their ceremony invitations...
I heard that you have the best chance of reaching a human if you call early in the morning, right as they are opening at 8 AM.
Hope you are able to reach someone and at least get an update soon. It really is ridiculous and very unfair how IRCC is heavily prioritizing 2022 paper applications (3-6 month processing time!) while taking its time and using COVID excuses to sit on many older ones.

8:00, 8:02, 8:04, 8:10, 8:12 -> bounced off 5 times.
"Thank you for your understanding" - no, sorry, I do not understand. I would understand putting me on hold for whatever it takes in the line. This is an outright boot in the rear.
Update: after multiple attempts and selecting option "make changes to your application", I got through. It looks like my paper letter was received, and might have actually triggered some action from IRCC requesting clearance from CSIS. Let's see in a bit if that's true.

I did my oath on 17th Oct, got certificate on Nov 1st and Passport on Nov 4th. My old tracker showed complete on Oct 18th but new tracker has not been updated since Oath and shows ceremony In progress. Does anyone know if there is still anything outstanding that they need to do?

I went in person and picked up my passport on Nov 4th, 2 day processing. so I have all I need. I am wondering if there is still some step for them to close my application.

Don’t worry about application to be closed. You are officially Canadian now . It may get closed or maybe soon . Is it still show in progress? When was it updated last time ?

In the old tracker, application was marked complete on 18th Oct, one day after my oath. In new tracker last update is 11th Oct and ceremony still in progress.

I realize I'm planning way in advance but is it OK to book an appointment for passport application a month and half after our oath ceremony?
Would our Citizenship Certificates arrive in that much time or is it a better idea to wait until we receive the certificates and then book an appointment for passport submission?
I notice that slots are available at all the Ottawa Service Canada/Passport Office only in late January 2023.
