I don't think it's even possible in most countries to get a passport in 2 weeks.
What I would do is apply for it straight away and ask the passport office to fast track it. Make sure you keep your receipts and evidence that you applied for your passport and include this in a letter of explanation to IRCC. As long as you're trying hard to get it done they will likely give you more time.
Thanks for your response and advise. I will be visiting immigration office tomorrow first thing in the morning and as u said would attached the receipt along with my immigration appointment slip for capturing in the letter of explanation.
I think they will give more time since the request letter stated this: Should you be unable to provide the aforementioned documentation/information, you must advise us in writing along with supporting documents, detailing the reasons why you cannot provide the requested information/document(s). If we do not receive the documentation/information within 15 days, your application will be assessed based on the information we have on file, which may result in the refusal of your application.
Thanks once again.
Hello everyone, I received my MR today together with a long list of documents to be submitted. Pretty much everything I have submitted already. Letter of employment, background check, travel history, generic application form, proof of fund,... Has anyone else had the same situation?

Plenty of people - you're not the only one they ask for a life story from. Most people on FB threads are saying they're getting these requests. Thanks for the update, I'm getting these same forms ready so I can send it quickly if they do.
Sometimes they'll "intensify" their ask and demand to know your whereabouts from age 18 instead of only 10 years ago.
Logical explanations could be they want to be sure you're living in the province that nominated you and are able to economically establish yourself by having a job.
My AOR was last week (applied Mar 2022), I should probably expect a combination of MR and the same forms as you in a few weeks' time.
Hopefully after you submit stuff you'll get DM1 within a month.
where does it say the new medical exempt policy becomes effective?
It's from IRCC website. They finally released details yesterday.

Oh cheers just saw that. Looks like he's a true politician, the way he talked about this exemption implied that people who hadn't done an IME before could also be eligible if they're from a low-risk country.
Basically what he's actually saying is: "We've pissed you off so much already with these wait times that we feel sorry for you. So we won't let you RE-DO a medical because of our processing times. You're welcome."

I received PAL today with a second additional document to be resubmited, and not yet for MR. Is anyone still requested to submit additional documents by ircc AFTER receiving PAL? Hopefully this should be a last AD.

What additional documents have they asked you to resubmit?
Is it because it has been more than a year since you applied?

Does anyone receive AD after PAL?
Hello everyone, I received medical request (Inland). I already did my medical exam on Sept 30th 2021. Do I need to do it again (according to the new policy, I can use my medical exam for 5 years) and if no, how can I prove that and fullfil the IRCC request?
iginal application.

Hello - This is very strange. I am puzzled as to why they would want employment letters from you when your application is based on your Ph.D. and not your job. Does not make sense. I received an MR on October 7th but no other requests. Maybe they will request all of this from me too, but they appear not to have gotten to that stage yet. Also, I never submitted a letter of employment since they did not ask for it in the original application, did you? Please keep us updated.

It doesn't matter if his nomination is not based on an employment offer. They may be asking it for a whole bunch of reasons - research, compliance (making you're staying in the province) etc. They can ask for whatever they want, so be prepared.

You know how in the forms like Generic Application and Your Travels they ask you for your history dating back to either age 18 or the last 10 years (whichever is a longer duration for disclosure)?
Guess what! I have a colleague who is nearly 50 and going for PR via a tech pathway. His ADR request from IRCC was to re-do all those forms from age 18 instead of the last 10 years.
He now needs to remember 38 years of where he was in his life lol, and he has a spouse and 2 kids.

No you won't. You will have the biggest celebration of your life and you will know how to appreciate and enjoy the benefits of PR/citizenship better than many Canadians do.
Remind me again, what's your timeline? I'm AR 8 March & AOR 3 October (SINP Non-EE PNP stream).
