I was wondering if in your PPR for TRV, there is a specific instruction stating that you should send your passport for stamping “ONLY INSIDE CANADA”?

Due to the delay in their processing, I’m afraid I might have to take my passport stamped outside of Canada (in my home country) when I get my PPR as I have to leave very soon due to urgent matter.

Hi guys! Does anyone know how long it takes to receive passport after counterfoil has been generated? After I received an update that counterfoil was generated, I’ve been tracking the envelope however Canada Post says the tracking number hasn’t been activated yet.

Here is my timeline:
Paper based app
Applied July 28 2022 from OTT, ON
Linked paper application August 25, 2022
Reviewing eligibility and PPR Sept 5, 2022
Sent passport for stamping Sept 5, 2022
IRCC received passport Sept 6, 2022
Counterfoil generated September 26, 2022

Any suggestions are appreciated as I’m trying to book a flight to go back home asap. Thankyou

I just got the PPR.. and there they gave the link to follow instructions. So it depends on the questions you provided in the application form IMM 5857 while submitting the visitor visa.
What you mentioned in question 7 and 9.. for example if you selected that the present address is same as resident address so you need to send your passport there.

let’s say I am in Canada n present address and where I am living is Canada so I need to send the passport to Ottawa.

Hii , I have my counter foil generated since last week but can’t see any tracking with Canada post. What could be wrong? Hope my passport hasn’t been misplaced?
