My oath was postponed by one week, received an email today half an hour ago. Not sure why this happened, online tracker still says 10th october as the Oath date.
Old date: 10th October 2022 as pet the previous invite email.
New date: 17th october 2022 as per the new invite email.
Admin, pls update test dates below on tracking. Can i Pls have link for Google doc of tracking.
Language, background, physical, and prohibition are still 'in progress.' But should Everything be good since I got the test invite? Or will I be required to submit other documents later?
What is everyone's experience on when/how long till oath taking is after completing the test?
Is anyone updating the Oct tracking? I provided update on my test dates above and do not see it updated on tracking.
I did the test today and but need to send all pages of passport in eligible period.
How long usually is oath taking after passing the test?
My test status go updated to completed on 23rd Aug. As of now only BG check and test are done. I gave my test from outside Canada and i don't intend to come for a month. Does anyone know if one is outside Canada will IRCC still work on application or not? I read somewhere they asked some people proof of presence in Canada or to let IRCC know if you're back and or tickets to Canada.
Yes, still waiting for an update and I called IRCC to confirm and they said we don’t have any update yet. It might have delivered but officer did not process them as of yet.
Its going to be a year in 2 months—still background check and no test invite. I wish I could have applied paper. Paper May 2022 applicants got oath invite…

Some paper applicants got oath invites. I have not even had my test results confirmed/validated yet, and many more paper applicants are in the same boat.
I need your advice. In citizenship application where it says have you ever used any other name? Do we include any names we used unofficially?
When I applied for citizenship, I said no to it as my friend told me that it is only for names used in docs submitted. My passport has no surname so I only use my two words given name Jeevanjot Singh everywhere. My all legal docs has this name from bank accounts to driver license to cra to paystubs, etc.
But, after I got my PR. Few months after I got a job with a big coorporate company so most people were having trouble saying my name Jeevanjot so I started using Jeevan which is little easy to pronounce. Also, I started using my surname on work emails and resume so I used to write Jeevan Boparai in emails as my name (Boparia being my surname but no mentioned on IDs or passport). My surname is not used anywhere and not even by my parents but we know it is our surname so I started using it in emails mainly while at work.
My plan is to add Boparai as surname soon via legal name change.
But for now, should I update IRCC about Jeevan Boparia as other names or I am good? This name is not used in any docs. Even my paystubs and job offer letter has my legal name. Let me know what i should I do or if i am overthinking. Any advice us helpful.

You are definitely overthinking it. You do not need to update IRCC of this minor difference in name that is used unofficially.
Jeevanjot is to Jeevan as Gregory is to Greg. People with an official name Gregory, are often called Greg in everyday life. They would not have to write Greg as another name used.
About your assumed surname Boparia, again since it is not yet official, you don't need to mention it to IRCC, just as how "pet names" your friends or loved ones call you are not official and hence not needed to be disclosed to IRCC.

Thank you very much for the advice. I think maybe I was reading too much of threads which made be overthink. But I really appreciate your response as I feel relaxed now and want to thank you for that.
Regarding my surname, I have started using that at work mainly in my email signatures like:
Jevan Boparai
Data Analyst
Xyz Company
I will be adding my surname via legal name change soon as I have realized the importance of surname in western countries. So, even if I am using my surname at work emails, I don't need to update IRCC?
