I was pleasantly surprised to se that status got updated today:

Does anyone know how long it takes for the OCI to be delivered by courier?

Does any one have any experience about a 'lost Indian Passport' replacement via BLS? Someone I know arrived as an international student and a few weeks ago had their bag stolen on a bus. He lost all his vital documents - Indian PP, Aadhar card, every single university document as well as study permit etc etc. So far has approached BLS twice and they have turned him back because the police report does not mention the Indian Passport number.

I am certain this is not the first case of a lost passport and not a first case with the local police not issuing a report with a passport number. So what are the options?

I submitted in April and BLS didn’t open my envelop till mid May!

From what I can tell it is IST working hours.

The cops told him that as per policy they don't provide a number but can only report that he lost his passport.

Can we do walk in BLS Brampton or appointmentis mandatory ? Time frame for passport surrender BLS Brampton?

@CanEuro You can walk in between 8 AM to 1:30 PM appointments are not mandatory but preferred as you can go in with in 5-10 minutes for Submission. My friend went today to BLS Brampton around 11 AM there were about 3 people before him in the walk in line all in all it took him about 75 minutes to complete the submission.

SC is about 1 week now the timelines have improved a lot now-a-days also If you do not have time to pick up then better pay for postal as the pick up window is M-F 3 PM to 4:15 PM there is already a long line by 2:30 PM they are forcing people to pay for Postal return about CAD 37 per person for each application.

You will likely hear something in the next 10 days or so. The wait is tiring, but you will get the OCI card - like all of us

It's a Bank Order for $345 in favor of CGI-Toronto, I saw the same conflicting information you mentioned with the incorrect amount and spent 3 hours in the line up only to reach the counter and be asked to issue a new bank order and come back some other day.

Your tracking Number will be listed in the BLS Portal status section. The number will be listed under "Additional Information"
