Is there any type of visa we can get soonish? My OCI application has DOA June 1 and still under process. Not sure I’ll get it anytime soon.

@arbitqubit Entry Visa can be issued in about 7 business days but wait for 2 weeks you should get your OCI by then. The timelines seem to have improved now I received min in about 41 days from submission date to pick-up. Now it seems to be within 35 days with the current timelines in GTA area.

I am trying to check appointment slots online but none available. Any other way to get an appointment ?

I submitted my application on June 28, and nothing on https://ociservices.gov.in/statusEnqury yet.

I was supposed to travel on June 23, I moved it to July 7. Now I can’t do that either.

There is no local phone number for BLS, and Call centre agents are not always helpful.

I went there anyway, and picked up my OCI.

I noticed that the OCI booklet printing quality is substandard. The number and letters are poorly stamped and have shadow underneath. The photo quality is pretty low resolution.
The address on back page is complete but no postal code.

The OCI Booklets are printed here in Canada, Both the stamps on OCI are from Vancouver office.

Postal code is not mentioned in our OCI as well. The print appears okay though

Its no longer applicable in any jurisdiction! One has to process Surrender Certificate first which is a prerequisite for applying OCI.

12 weeks for me. But I think BLS is partially to be blamed for the delay. For 4 weeks, they did not open my envelope. If they were a bit more prompt, I would have had my OCI card in 8 weeks or so.

From DOA 8 weeks?
I submitted in April and BLS didn’t open my envelop till mid May!

Also do you have any idea roughly what time they update the status? Is it in IST working hours or EST?
