Brampton is very safe mate, compared to any town in US and most urban locations in Canada. It's bad rep comes from the concentrated amount of Indians it has in the eyes of non Indians like Surrey, Richmond for Chinese, etc. As an Indian, you will feel right at home
Even Jane and Finch which is supposedly the most dangerous neighborhood in Canada seemed to be safer than 50% of New York, LA and Newark
If it helps, I used to roam in Vancouver DTES and Surrey Newton at 8-12 PM, just for kicks. We used to go for after work "meetings" on friday at times. Nothing happened. Saw a lot of stonned to hell folks cursing various thing, most commonly --and I am not joking-- Masonic order. For some reason when stoners in DTES go high as 747, they see free masons in everything that is wrong in their life.
Thank you for the kind words. Upon calling them, nothing has changed. Eligibility and security have not started yet, criminality is in progress.
I told the lady that it is very strange that its been 18 months and I am yet to even pass eligibility, to which she replied that the current processing times for fsw is 26 months and I am still within that period. Thats the end of it, I am not calling until I receive my ppr.
I think this is an issue with big cities like Toronto. Everyone on the road here in Regina drive like my grandma. I've been here for 10 months and not seen an accident yet - not even a bumper bashing.

Wow. After so long? That is strange. When I ordered GCMS notes last September, only Criminality had passed. I am scared to call them back now. That is disappointing. I am hoping they finalize quickly. I tried calling but no luck. Considering getting GCMS notes again. I really just want this process done.
I agree, if you are early in your career Toronto's better. If you are experienced and have quality work experience, then get a job in Alberta (preferably before you move there)
