At least you got an agent. I tried calling this morning and got disconnected. Keep us posted. Our documents got approved the same so I am curious to know.
1. Cops dont shoot random people just because they are having a bad day.
2. You are more likely to get stabbed than shot.
3. You can expect your kid to come back after his/her school.

You jinxed me man. After waiting for two hours and connecting to an agent, as soon as she started telling me the updates, textnow disconnected lololol! Fk me
I would rather not get shot or stabbed, but between the two I would rather get shot. At least, it will be over quicker.
On a side note, I don't know if I can call myself privileged, I had never had to worry about being shot or stabbed in India. Common sense tells me to avoid "dangerous" areas but I had never felt unsafe in any part of India. But of course, I say this as a man.
Surely, I won't be jumped and asked for my wallet in, say, Brampton in GTA?

Common feature of both countries is that you have a downtown "core" -- which is less safe -- than sub-urban parts of the city.
As far as getting shot or stabbed goes, well, judging by life expectency, people do avoid getting either. Though I am not that sure about USA. That place is simply creepy -- too many people who should not be trusted with a butter knife are running around with glocks and AR-15s.
I guess it mostly applies to departures/security. Or, at least, they've fixed the arrivals now... no random testing and they've pretty much gotten rid of most COVID protocols.
Prtd is a document to enter canada if you don't have a pr card .
To re enter canada you require either pr card or prtd.
I am getting married on Oct, I am not sure whether I will get my pr card that is why I asked that.in normal circumstances you don't have to worry about it.

Brampton is very safe mate, compared to any town in US and most urban locations in Canada. It's bad rep comes from the concentrated amount of Indians it has in the eyes of non Indians like Surrey, Richmond for Chinese, etc. As an Indian, you will feel right at home
Even Jane and Finch which is supposedly the most dangerous neighborhood in Canada seemed to be safer than 50% of New York, LA and Newark

Americans have better manners on the roads though. Here, putting the indicator on means that you've earned the right of way and can cut it and merge at any speed without looking.
And I just witnessed a drag race in the middle of Downtown!
I think this is an issue with big cities like Toronto. Everyone on the road here in Regina drive like my grandma. I've been here for 10 months and not seen an accident yet - not even a bumper bashing.
