Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

I applied in person at service canada and its already 2 months now and waiting...

My file/package hasn’t been opened yet. They said it is taking around 15-18 business days for that to happen right now.

Advised me to go to local passport office and they can issue a “temporary travel document” fir my travel this week

received：Mar 21
CC charged：2 adults on April 13，1 child on April 14，1 child on May 5

I think I am patient enough，hope I can get them ASAP！

I got one of my child‘s passport just right now！By Canada post express and his birth certificate and old passport is in the same envelope

I sent my passport by mail on May 4, signed for in Gatineau may 5. I had to cancel the credit card I put on the applications forms. I called last Wednesday to change the card but they told me it's not in the system yet. She said that an agent will call me when they try to process the payment and it doesn't go through. However, she also said I could phone back in beginning of June or mid June to update it. I'm going to call this week

I was told my passport might got lost in the office, but since your day is one day behind me. I’m kind a relief cause the agent told you to call in around mid of June etc….. anyway please keep me posted, if you can update your information then I should able update my. I wouldn't worry about it being lost as it seems nobody who submitted around the same time as us has been charged yet. She told me to try calling in mid June because they're very busy and it's taking a while for the files to be uploaded (but that I could also try beginning of June). I lost my card a few days after too! I'll keep you updated and good luck

Passport office is two weeks and service Canada and mail is now 9 week

But then in order for us to do the 2 week passport office thing, we need to show proof of travel :/

On the other hand, 9 weeks is a long time

I requested transfer last Wednesday and haven’t got call so far. Calgary office as well.
I was told it isn’t a guaranteed thing.
