Hi
I applied for my mother visa on 3rd May 2022 and till now did not get any reply. She had already done her medical as part of her previous application (which also appears to have lost somewhere as there was no progress so I decided to reapply through new portal)
I applied for my parent's super visa in February 2022. After which I saw everyone talking about the new portal and I applied for the new portal as well in April. Nothing so far has been updated on the new portal. But today I saw that my application on the old portal was withdrawn. I did not withdraw the application, it was withdrawn on its own. I did not receive any emails as well. I don't understand why they withdrew because they updated my mom and dad's medical recently. Can anyone tell me why it was withdrawn all of a sudden? Was it because I applied on the new portal?

When you filled new application it does says previous one be withdrawn automatically and you will not receive update or confirmation
But its a good sign and they will wrk on your new app. Now ... also webform ircc and update med. For new file with explanation what happened and it will show in new portal acc.
I applied for my mother’s Super visa through a representative ; timeline:
Medical: December 2020
Application- January 26,2021
Biometrics Request - January 29, 2021
Biometric complete- August 25, 2021
There has been no update since. I did put a letter from the MP for faster process. It just says it’s in process. Agent did suggest to reapply as the application is way before September 07,2021 but we opted not to because of all the documents that had to be rearranged and it would hv been very difficult for my mother to do it. Now I am wondering if we should go ahead and reapply or just apply for a visitor visa alongside super visa?
If you already fixed the reason of denial then you are good ,
In case you are submitting same set of document and Proof , fund , tie up with home country , Then chances for denial are more
Good Luck

Depends on the situation ,
For parents if you can pass LICO and all condition like medical insurance , tie up with home country , Super Visa is Best bet
Generally tie-ups needn't be that strong for Super Visa right? For visiting you need more strong ties with home country? Why i am asking this question is generally attorneys to apply Super visa for parents who have been retired as its 50-50 chances for Visiting to get approved??
