Can I walk into a service canada and ask for a transfer since my trip is in less then 25 business days even though I sent my application by mail?

I have the same exact problem as yours. I was wondering if I should just go in person until somebody answers me. I mailed mine on March 9th and it's been 7 weeks. I'm traveling in a week.

Credit card finally got charged today! Hooray!

Application delivered to Mississauga from BC: Feb 25
Had previously requested two status updates via the online form: took weeks to get a response to either, both saying under examination.
Also filled out the online complaint form On April 21st. No acknowledgement of that so far.
Called yesterday to ask for a status update, still under examination. Let them know I have travel plans and will be initiating the transfer on May 9th.
Credit card charged today (April 30) from Brampton.

45 business days so far (9 weeks).

Thank goodness, I finally received call from Passport Canada yesterday morning. My transfer is approved and I should pick up passport Wednesday evening, my flight is early Thursday morning. I was charged only $20 for the transfer, the agent said it's because the delays were not my fault.

Is it possible to apply for the passport while outside Canada? For example, can I attend the oath, receive my certificate, travel somewhere and apply from there? Just curious..

No, you cannot attend citizenship oath while you are abroad.

That’s cause you paid premium on your passport (C$260)

Thanks for the reply, but my question was if I attend the oath in Canada and receive the certificate, can I travel abroad and apply for a passport with the certificate from abroad?

Yeah, I think they closed the help desk. It used to take you to the waiting list or just the line will be busy but now one you select language, a recorded voice will be played on how to apply for passport and disconnect the call.

Exactly, this is what is happening.

Application sent on Jan 29
CC charged on Feb 16
Status request on Feb 28
Status requested on Mar 25, received on Apr 15, File is in examination

I am writing passport application, but I haven't received my certificate.
My question is:
Is the certificate number same as UCI number, and the date of issue same as the day of oath ceremony?
