You don't need citizenship certificate to apply the passport?

I meant they sent back my citizenship certificate together with passport in the same envelope. For many others, they received their certificate separately from the passport

No it’s random and depends on the officer processing your file.

I sent application on March 08.
CC charged on April 01
Fill the form on the website after 20 business days i.e. April 10 but no reply against that.
No calls to guarantor or reference
Desperately needs to see my parents, it’s 5 years.
Any expert reviews or opinions on my timeline.

I understand your frustration but it looks like there is nothing wrong with your timeline and very normal.

They received mine on March 3rd and cc was charged on March 25th. So yeah I would say you can expect your passport on first week of May or so.

Hi everyone, my passport and certificate of citizenship arrived today in the same envelope. I received a notification in my mailbox yesterday and picked up today.
Guarantor was never contacted.
Hoping you will get yours soon.

Finally, I received my passport Yesterday.

Mailed: Feb 28, 2022
Delivered March 02, 2022
CC charged: April 04, 2022
Passports issued Apr 11, 2022
Passports received: Apr 19, 2022 (Citizenship certificate was mailed out together with a passport in one envelope)

I called them today many times but I got a message that no officer is available to pick up your call due to high volume of calls. I am unable to get in touch with them. My application was sent to Gatineau, Qc office in January 2022.
