Pr card and pr approval are not the same thing, pr approval or confirmation of PR status is the final decision of h&c application like any other immigration application but PR card is another application with another timeline.

It is not easy but hold on to hope and God will see you through. Mine till eCOPR took 20 months. I distracted myself a lot by singing and praising God. Find something to distract yourself. God luck my friend.

Why he did not apply for estension before to have valid status ?
Anyway he can apply for restoration

I submitted the HC application not visitor record. I hope to have him on an implied status once we get AOR.

you need to Restore his status if you can
It help him a lot
When you submitted H&c application and also visitor records
He will be implied status up to a 6 month or a year

now he is inadmissible to canada he need a exemptions

you check your ecas tomorrow afternoon maybe you get updated

@Ayanna ; H and C application submitted June,2021 with visitor record extension up to Dec.15,2021. Visitor record extension applied Dec.14 on line and received same day. Status implied. Do we need to update on line? or UCI reflects this information to officer ? Pl guide

I never knew when mine went for final review. They did not send an email and I did not bother to call them. I just checked ecas one night and saw final decision. The next day I received the email to confirm presence in Canada, 2 days later, PR portal email. Five days after that came the almighty eCOPR.
For some people in the forum, between 2 to 8 weeks. Best of luck to your cousin.
