Became a Citizen today. Overall the ceremony took about 2 hours. Now begins the wait to see if they'll expedite my certificate...

I got mine certificate within 6days after the oath.

From what city to what city? They'll send mine from Winnipeg to Vancouver. I provided an explanation & flight itinerary so hopefully they agree to expedite.

Congrats, that gave me some hope as I’m still stuck at Apr 23, 2021 for the last update. Waiting for the email to schedule my test.
I called CIC yesterday but had no update. Same as the tracker.

Yeh .. def know the feeling .. stuck since June 7 , 2021 - waiting for a test date !

It came from SCR I’m assuming that is Scarborough office.

Today morning I spoke to cic agent, she was helpful. Told two of the major processes which takes time are done security and background check. She told my file is actively worked on and is in the given timeline. Physical presence and prohibitions part are remaining. Also told there are chances oath could be in-person as they are planning to reopen in person oath ceremony. My online app has ghost update on feb 14 but March 8th there was a note for security and background check which CIC agent told. Hopefully I should get it asap don't want to renew my PR card.

just got a call from IRCC. The agent was granting my boys application via phone call! What a surprise after almost a whole year waiting from last update on Apr 23rd. I checked the tracker, not updated yet. How long will it take to get the citizenship certificate by mail?

I thought we would have! My office was switched from Vancouver to Winnipeg and I was #85 out of 85. Suspect they're doing this to clear the backlog quicker so don't be shocked if your oath invite isn't from Vancouver.

I still don't understand what the call was for. As far as I know, children under 14 get their certificate without taking the oath or attending the ceremony or any other action. I might be wrong, but this call sounds strange to me.

Never heard of IRCC actually calling - usually is via Email or Mail .
