Please help me. Im confused on what to apply after my wp expires next month. My current employer will not renew me, a new employer is applying for lmia and we only have lmia file number as of this moment, can i apply for wp extension with my new employer using just lmia file number? Im not in good terms with my current employer as well thats why im worried that if i extend with them, they will give me a hard time esp with scheds.
However if you have a closed wp with your old employer I would not expect you to be able to apply for a wp extension just based on a lmia application for a different employer. Its far more likely that you would have to apply for a new wp after you new employer has got an approved lmia.
