Would this count as Canadian work experience?

I received a job offer from Transcom as a Technical Support Advisor working from home in Canada. I recently noticed that they closed the physical location in canada and made Canadian employees work from home permanently. The job posting was for Ontario but the company is US-based. Would this still count as Canadian work experience for employees in Canada since they are now working from home and paying Canadian taxes each paycheck? I'm confused and would like some help

Are you on a Canadian payroll and paid by a Canadian entity of the company? If so then I believe it counts for CEC.

If you are not physically within Canada then it is a moot point. Canadian work exp has to be gained while in Canada. IRCC is explicitly clear about this.

Was just pointing out that it is not enough to be paid by a Canadian company.
